A Photographer's Silent Drama

Photography first emerged in France in the mid-19th Century. The visual media now brings us images of distant galaxies to life at the bottom of the oceans and anything else imagined. One of its finest practitioners is the Brazilian photographer, Sebastiao Salgado. Across multiple themes, his projects capture the human side of global rights and environmental conservation. In this TED presentation, Salgado provides a personal narrative on the craft with imagery from his masterwork, Genesis.
