Sri Lankan marine biologist Asha de Vos offers a fascinating look at the affects whales have on ocean ecosystems and why we should care about 'whale poo'. As their populations are restored to their ocean habitats, the impacts on marine productivity is being recorded by oceanic research. Dr. de Vos presented her findings to the National Geographic Society. WHB
