Marine environmental issues concerning fisheries are mostly stories of overfishing, depletion, and abuse of a sustainable natural resource. In some former fishing grounds, the stocks have been fully consumed. The organization Fish 2.0 wants to change this picture by helping to connect the various  segments that utilize these fisheries from the harvesting, to the consumer, and the investment community as well. These commercial 'layers' all affect the fish stocks and demand.

The non-profit has created a global community bringing together innovators and investors to support and expand the sustainable seafood industry. They organizes events around the world including the biennial Global Innovators Forum and with their own consulting services and a series of Fish 2.0 sustainability insights published for businesses, investors, and seafood marketing groups. The reports should be more widely read and the lessons applied. WHB
