MERU

The mountaineering documentary film, MERU, had its dual, sold-out premieres at Sundance and MountainFilm. It won the coveted Sundance Audience Award and went on to great critical and public acclaim.

The movie chronicles the epic adventure of Conrad Anker, a Riled Up contributor, and his climbing partners Jimmy Chin and Renan Ozturk as they attempt the un-summited, and considered by most an un-climbable Himalayan peak, Mount Meru, in India. The mountain would require every climbing method known including rock, ice, and big wall techniques to tackle the 14,980 foot summit.

MERU was one of the 15 semi-finalists in consideration for an Academy Award documentary film nomination. If you missed this amazing story of stamina, perseverance, and endurance during its theatrical run, MERU is streaming on Amazon Prime Video now. WHB
