Walls of star creation in detail (credit: NASA/JWST)

The initial batch of images from the James Webb space telescope has expanded far beyond the first photograph released yesterday. They provide stunning details of star formation; the evolution of galaxies and black holes; and the final stage of a star's life that ended in a super-nova. All of the infrared captures from this remarkable scientific and engineering instrument show what it has just begun to observe that are now available for all to see. WHB
