Cash Crops & Big Data

Cash Crops & Big Data

Big Data has become its own 'cash crop' (credit: Bloomberg)

Big Data is now gathered on virtually very topic and visualized in multiple ways. What happens when you see such large metrics applied to crops in global agriculture? You actually visually see the importance of multiple plants in commerce. Information was gathered on cash crop data across four categories: Most Planted; Most Fecund; Most Popular; and Most Revenue, the results are fascinating in two comparison visuals.

Worldwide production of one plant tops the list and is obvious from the graphic data. It is not corn or wheat! WHB
