Britain's Guardian newspaper initiated a bold project called Keep It In The Ground to help reduce the use of fossil fuels and help support alternative energy development. The goal is to spread ideas of hope by showcasing innovative solutions that can help reverse climate change and reduce pollution. The paper will offer articles that highlight practical actions towards meeting this objective.

One installment of this Guardian initiative is a series of poems about the climate. Each poem read as part of Our Melting, Shifting, Liquid World utilizes the spoken word talents of a well known actor such as Jeremy Irons, James Franco, and Kelly McDonald among others. One example is Turbines in January by Colette Bryce. The Guardian is leading this creative project in the hopes that other media organizations will follow their lead. WHB
